Brenda Speer has been practicing law since 1989 and has honed her primary area of emphasis, intellectual property law (patent, trademark and copyright), through both private law firm practice and in-house legal department service. Brenda's personal and professional background also includes extensive experience in and in-depth understanding of business and real estate law matters. In October 2004 she re-entered private law practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and since has provided legal counsel to artists, entertainers, innovators, companies and individuals in the creative, technological, business and real estate arts. She is an avid champion in educating and enabling her clients to protect and nurture their valuable brainchildren and other important personal, business and real estate assets.
Brenda Speer has been a long-time resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She moved to the city as a child in 1970 and grew up and finished her primary education here. After living in various places to complete her undergraduate and graduate education, as well as to gain work experience, she returned to Colorado Springs in 1996. She lives here with her husband and her collection of books, fashion accessories and sewing and needlework supplies. Brenda is active in the community and is affiliated with many organizations as a member or board director. One of her favorite activities is playing principal French horn with the Pikes Peak Philharmonic. (She really does play French horn. It's not just a cheesy prop in her photo!)
